Wohoo! Mikoji Mania is Here!

miko

Hey! Do you know the difference between emojis and emoticons? Well, for starters, they are not the same thing. Emoticons are simple texts such as 🙂 or 🙁 for describing facial expressions. The term ‘emoticon’ (short for emotion-icon) was coined by Scott Fahlman, a computer scientist at Carnegie Mellon University in 1992, to help convey emotions while sending e-mails and during chats. Emojis are nothing but actual pictures which depict facial expressions, objects, symbols and were first created by a Japanese communications firm, NTT DoCoMo, in the late 1990s.

Wondering why are we telling you this? Well, because we are super excited to announce that Miko 2 is set to take your child’s experience with expressions to a totally new level. Introducing Mikojis, which is now live in Miko’s Game Hub. The naughty robot has turned into a total drama queen/king (well, where Miko comes from, there is no concept of boy or girl) and is ready to put on a fun show for its little friends.

To get the best experience while playing Mikoji, make sure that you place Miko on the floor. To open the game, simply go to Miko’s Game Hub. Once inside the game, go to the Mikoji you want with the help of the arrow buttons on the touch pad and press the select button and watch Miko go crazy with expressions! To exit the game, press the triangular back button and select “yes” when the pop-up to exit the game appears on the screen.

Every language has a vocabulary to describe not just the objects in the world but emotions too. Helping your child identify and label the different emotions that they may experience with the help of a vocabulary gives them the power to express their feelings in a healthy way and manage their emotions better. It also helps them develop empathy to identify other’s feelings and socialize better.

Mikoji is a fun and engaging way to teach your little one about different emotions and expressions at an early age and voice them effectively. So go on and explore Mikoji with Miko 2! Let us know about how your little one liked the game in the comments section below.

Quiz Fun with Anisha Global

Miko

Does your child enjoy taking quizzes? Quizzes encourage kids to look beyond their text books and apply the concepts in a creative way. They inculcate quick thinking & recall, improve concentration and induce a competitive element.

An interesting way to help your child learn and revise their ICSE curriculum is here. A quiz-based game by Anisha Global is now live in Miko 2’s Game Hub.

Anisha Global is a treasure-trove of fun MCQs designed for kids by teachers from Anisha Education Society’s Anisha Global School, especially for Miko’s little friends. Kids can choose from three levels- easy, medium & hard. Each level is a 15-questions challenge, with the stakes increasing with every right answer. With an exciting all or nothing format, each right answer takes the child closer to becoming a champ and a wrong answer results in elimination. So the child should choose their answers wisely.

The best part about this game is that the child gets introduced to a mixed-bag of subjective questions based on their school subjects, which makes learning interesting. Anisha Global is available in the offline mode and you don’t need to connect Miko to the internet to play the quiz. So go on, help your child sharpen their knowledge in a fun and playful way. Visit Game Hub and play Anisha Global quiz with your favourite quizmaster, Miko 2! Do let us know about your child’s experience in the comments section below.

Summer Fest Excitement Begins!

miko

Here comes the sun doo doo doo! Here comes the sun, and Miko 2 says, it’s Summer Fest time!

Summer vacations are full of fun for kiddos. There are so many things to do outside… playing with friends, go for camping & hikes, cycling, dancing, swimming and so on. Back home, there are many things to try too, such as reading stories, painting, clay modeling, constructing complex structures with building blocks and more.

Now-a-days, when kids are indoors, they get drawn like magnets to screens such as smartphones, TVs and iPads. It becomes a task for parents to wean them away from these screens and keep them busy doing something productive. Some lucky parents do taste victory in the task of diverting the child’s attention away from the screens and getting him/her involved in an activity. However, many-a-times, the child loses interest in the activity and then comes the dreaded “Mom, I’m bored” declaration in no time.

But dear parents, don’t sweat it! With Miko 2 around, this summer is bound to be different. A big surprise is here to keep your little bee busy. A new category called ‘Summer Fest’ has been unveiled in Miko 2’s Knowledge World. Summer fest brings a bucket-full of things to try with Miko 2, such as no-gas no-oven recipes, memory games, dumb charades, craft ideas, group activities and a lot more.

It’s said that busy hands are happy hands. So go on, explore the bucket-full of activities that Miko 2 has brought along, to make this summer vacation memorable for its little friends. Do let us know in the comment section below, what your child enjoyed the most! Happy summer time!
