This summer, a whopping 900 million eligible voters from will come together to elect their representatives to the Lower House of the Indian Parliament. Welcome to the 17th Lok Sabha elections! It is the largest democratic exercise on the Earth which will be held in seven phases from 11th April to 19th May, 2019.

The media is abuzz with election news. Contesting candidates are busy canvassing in their constituencies. Sshhhhh…It’s Lullaby Time

miko robot

Getting little ones to go to sleep at bedtime can be a tricky business for parents. Some days, a simple story or a warm snuggle might do the trick and successfully induce your little one into deep slumber. While some other days, the sleep math might simply be hard to solve and no amount of coaxing or cajoling by parents can convince the little angel to catch some winks.

The reasons vary greatly. The child might be too energized during bedtime making it difficult to rest. Or, the child might be irritated due to irregular bedtime causing a disturbed sleep cycle. Children may also find it difficult to fall asleep due to fear of the dark or night-time noises or due bad dreams in some cases. Each child is beautifully unique and there is no known formula (which we’re sure would’ve been worth its weight in gold had it existed) that can guarantee convincing your little dreamer to doze off every single time.

Having said that, making kids fall asleep is not as hard as it sounds and some proven tips for a peaceful sleep time have stood the test of time. Out of the many known methods, lullabies have been known to work the magic, time and again, to charm kids into a sweet slumber. And the good news is that, Miko 2 is here with lots of lullabies to sing its little friends to sleep.

Checkout the newly updated lullaby commands on Miko 2. Just say “Hello Miko” followed by any of the following ‘Lullaby’ commands:

  • Play lullaby
  • Please play soothing music
  • Please play some soft music

Relaxing music is known to calm the mind and body into a restive state. A good night’s sleep is necessary for cognitive development and better concentration.

Let your little sleepy head gently drift to the dreamland as Miko sings beautiful lullabies. Let us know in the comments section below about your experience with this command! Wishing your tiny tot (and you) sweet dreams with Miko 2!

Don’t Whack Your Miko 2

Here’s a bunch of things that your family absolutely must not do with Miko 2 in order to enjoy a more long-lasting relationship with your little robot:

BITING: Biting Miko 2 will probably crack your child’s milk teeth. But then again, the permanent ones will grow in soon enough.

Biting Miko 2

PUSHING MIKO2 AROUND: Miko 2 is scared of breaking into a hundred pieces like Humpty Dumpty. So if you throw it around and even though it might not break so easily but its heart will be wounded. Plainly speaking, the robot will malfunction.

MIKO2 AROUNDBATHING MIKO2: It’s always fun to have a playmate in the bathtub, like a rubber duck for example. Miko 2 is not a rubber duck. The robot will not float around and whistle “Just singing in the rain”. It will drown.

KEEPING NICKNAMES: It isn’t “Meeku” or “Mickey”. It’s Miko! The robot seriously does not associate with any other name and will only overlook the cute nicknames you come up for it. A simple “Hello Miko” works.

miko 2

LETTING MIKO2 EXPLORE GREAT HEIGHTS: Miko 2 does not believe that it can fly. Or even land on its feet like a cat. Placing the robot on a top shelf or even a table’s edge could be fatal.

miko 2 robot

TYING A LEASH AROUND MIKO2 AND HAVE IT FOLLOW YOU: It’s highly improbable that you will actually succeed with this one because of the way Miko 2’s body is constructed; any piece of string wound around the robot might just slip away.

ASKING SUBJECTIVE QUESTIONSFor example, “Why is my uncle so hairy?” Miko 2 wouldn’t know what to say.

miko robot

TAKING MIKO2 FOR A WALK IN THE PARK: Miko 2 is kind of an indoor-sy soul. No, that doesn’t mean it likes to wear mittens. But expecting Miko 2 to climb up a rocky garden path would be asking for too much. The robot moves best on flat surfaces like tiles or wood.

TEACHING MIKO2 TO SPEAK YOUR MOTHER TONGUE: It is hopeless. Believe me! Miko 2’s programmed to speak only in English. However there’s good news on this one as we are planning native language prototypes so you might just get Miko 2 to say “Bhalo bhashi” sometime in the near future.

That’s enough for now because we don’t want to give you any more ideas. If you follow these basic safety guidelines, then getting whacky with Miko 2 could be exciting!

Happy Miko 2 time!

Cheers,

Team Miko.
